Galileo is one of the fastest growing distribution companies of the world providing
global distribution services to the travel industry and the first GDS to launch
E-ticketing in India. It is also the first travel distribution unit having a fully
owned IP network in India. The Galileo GDS provides instant access to the widest
range of travel vendors, automated pricing of the most complex flight itineraries,
a variety of ticketing products, fully customised client documentation, technical
solutions and tools designed for all types of agencies.
Over 430 airlines, 52 low cost carriers, 23 car rental companies and 87,000 hotel
properties worldwide can be accessed on Galileo Core Systems. It has also achieved
the status of having the maximum number of Airlines in India at the highest level
of agreement.
Having grown steadily over the last fifteen years with a substantial increase in
market share, the company is focused on building lasting relationships with its
partners in the trade.
The preferred choice of most of the travel agents, some of Galileo's key clients
include American Express, Thomas Cook, Travel Corporation India and HRG SITA. The
innovative products are aimed at meeting all the needs of the travel agent, besides
doing the basic booking and ticketing functions. These include Galileo Web Services
(GWS), an application programming interface; ClientFile Plus, a customer data management
solution; Galileo Flight Integrator (GFI), a platform aggregating low cost carrier
content; E-tracker, a web-based solution; Low Fare Shopping Tool (LFST), an enhanced
shopping tool and Galileo Leisure, an online retail booking system offering leisure
travel content.
Galileo is officially distributed in India and Sri Lanka by InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ)
– InterGlobe's exclusive travel technology company. ITQ is the key differentiator
of the GDS in India and offers technology innovations like Galileo Alerts, E-Commerce,
ITQ Financials among a host of other business improvement and growth tools.
Headquartered in Gurgaon, it has an extended network across 452 cities with 21 dedicated
offices. It reaches out to over 11,500 agency locations, has 2 nationalised service centres
and 13 training centres with state-of-the-art
infrastructure and facilities matching international standards.
